I am so glad that you have joined us here at Passersby Welcome!
It is my heart for you to feel like you have found a place for support, encouragement, and usable resources to make you more confident and joyful in your homeschool journey. Education has always been my passion- first as a public school teacher, and then as a homeschooler for over 20 years to my five children. We have followed the Charlotte Mason philosophy in our homeschool for many years. It has been such a joy to help families learn to incorporate Miss Mason’s philosophy into their homeschools, and living books are the cornerstone of Passersby Welcome! I spend my days homeschooling my 2 daughters that are still at home, planning and supporting the co-op that I founded called Open Spaces Charlotte Mason Learning Community, and writing products for you that I pray will bless your time with your children! On the weekends you will find me going to yard sales or thrift stores, reading in the swing on the porch, or hiking with my husband.
About Me
My husband David and I have been married for 27 years and have five children- they are the joy of my heart and it has been such a privilege to homeschool them all! Our oldest, Joseph works in technical sales and is married to our precious daughter-in-love Emily. Miriam is a logistics administrator at a local company, and Benjamin is an aircraft technician. Lydia is a senior this year and dual-enrolled at our local community college, while also working as a barista. Elizabeth is in the 7th grade and I am enjoying my special time homeschooling one child! Our older children live close by so it is our joy to get to spend time together as much as we possibly can! Passersby Welcome is a family effort- I write the products, but my husband and children have assisted in all of the other aspects of the business, from website construction, to social media to supporting mom with a coffee break when I need one!
